What is the Selphyl PRP/PRFM Hair Restoration Treatment?
The Selphyl system uses the power of Protein Rich Plasma (PRP) to increase hair growth and hair density. PRP comes from the patient’s own blood. It is a concentrated form of the essential nutrients and growth factors needed to stimulate inactive hair follicles into an active growth phase. The Selphyl system is engineered to create an even more potent form of PRP known as the Protein-rich Fibrin Matrix (PRFM). This ultra-pure form of PRP provides the necessary scaffold to protect the platelets, allowing them to release their essential growth factors for a longer period of time. How is The Treatment Performed?
A small amount of blood is collected from the patient. The blood is then prepared with the proprietary Selphyl system to create the PRP component which naturally contains a large amount of growth factors. How Many Treatments are Needed?

Does the Treatment Hurt?
In order to generate the PRP/PRFM a blood draw is required. This involves a small needlestick with our medical assistants, or nurse who are excellent phlebotomists. We are able to minimize the discomfort involved with administering the PRFM back to the patient by using topical numbing, local anesthesia, and distraction techniques.
